a walk in the park

GOLETA, CA -- I'm mostly moved to my new place in sunny Goleta, CA. The ocean is a 15 minute walk through some residental areas and a park (left). There are numerous trails criss-crossing the park, one of which brings you to the top of an asphalt walkway that leads down to the beach. It's a nice walk through a quiet, windy area. You can hear the ocean about 5 minutes or so before you can see it. The only thing marring the lovely beach is the tar that dots the beach. These shots are from Monday. I also went on Saturday afternoon and explored more along the coast on the beach. According to some people I talked to, one could walk all the way to Santa Barbara's beaches when the tides right.
